Transform Your Art Practice
Hey Friend,
I help overwhelmed artists and designers who feel stuck to reframe their artistic practice as ritual so they can reclaim their creative magic, find their flow, and follow its momentum.
Are you an artist or designer who wants to get past creative blocks, heal burnout, and find your creative flow?
Together, we can create a unique and radical transformation in your practice by reframing art as ritual with these steps:
1. Reframe the work
We start by building a strong foundation for the journey ahead by reframing your artistic practice into one of ritual. This ritual can take many forms: art as a form of emotional and nervous system regulation, art as a form of connection to the body and the heart, art as a form of channeling our intuition, and even art as a form of connection to pleasure and play.
By focusing on your process rather than your product, you will begin to experience a pivotal energetic shift in your relationship with creativity. No longer will your practice leave you feeling drained, stuck, or overwhelmed. Instead, your artistic practice will fuel and nurture you.
2. Find what feels good
This is where we start our creative exploration together. I'll support you in connecting with your inner child and you will discover what does and doesn’t serve you in your artistic practice by playing around with different materials, music, movement, etc.
When you examine what is of service and not of service, you then start to build confidence in your connection because you will be working from your strengths. When this confidence is nurtured, you begin to understand that every mark is sacred. Seeing every mark as sacred, or with a curious eye, connects us even deeper to the transformation of using art as ritual.
3. Break through blocks and wounds
This step is all about deep self-reflection to better understand where these barriers come from. When we understand the root cause of the blocks, burnout, and any self-doubt in your practice we will begin to move forward with coping skills. These skills allow you to find ease through the discomfort rather than trying to force your way through it. This is where deep healing in your practice can begin. We will honor everything that comes up, especially what comes up emotionally, doing so with a great deal of compassion. We’ll be nurturing your inner child so that your art practice is not a place of tension or stress, but rather a place of healing.
4. Find your anchor
The next step is finding the anchor that can lead you back to yourself. This is where we create a plan for you when inevitably you fall out of routine and are looking to find center again (It happens to us all!). An anchor can be a connection to the moon, the seasons, or anything that allows you to tap into some outside magic. All things on earth work in cycles, including you. In this stage, we will begin to better understand and flow with your unique creative cycles. This is also where we tackle the issue of burnout by working with your creative cycles in a way that serves your overall well-being.
5. Integrate the work
The final step is making the magic stick! With any work together, the intention is to give you the tools you need to thrive on your own. During this last step, we focus on building an art as ritual practice that you can come back to with full creative joy. We focused specifically on your personal needs to work through overwhelm, burnout, and feelings of being stuck. You will live the magic we have cultivated together by integrating the work into real-life practice. You will have all the skills you need to continue forward with true creative freedom!
You are magic. Let’s nurture that magic by reframing art as ritual in your life.
Client Reflections
“Lauren provided a safe space and thoughtful prompts that led me to further delve and investigate my artistic journey, my creative anchors, and how that relates to my identity and my process. Important introspection that I don’t think a lot of creatives give themselves time to do under the relentless capitalist pressure to produce. It was fabulous to put my journey and frustrations into perspective, all of us sharing our insecurities and break- throughs as a cohesive container.”
— Sadie E. Francis
“The containers held by Lauren are always caring, supportive & expansive. Thanks to her creative offerings, I've been able to reunite with practice of art for joy and pleasure – unraveling some wounds, blockages & mindset shifts within the safe spaces held for exploration & healing. Lauren really helps us connect back to the core of our creatives selves as both a spiritual vehicle & fulfilling practice that impacts all areas of life.”
— Rachael Amber
“Lauren really was able to create sacred space for us, even on zoom. She had such nurturing energy about her and guided me through the entire progress with ease. It was super fun to create with her! I loved that there was no judgment and that she created with me. As we were reflecting at the end of our session, I felt like a kid excitedly asking a loving parent, "Can I show you what I made?!". Her response was so nurturing and made me feel even more proud of my inner creative. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Super soothing!”

“I had such an amazing experience with this Art ritual. I was able to set my intentions for my piece of art, identify blocks and tension and where it stemmed from. I was also able to work through these blocks through the art ritual process. I would absolutely love to do this again. This was so therapeutic and necessary.”
